Día 1

El campamento en Yaxunah inicia sus actividades recreativas a las 9am.  En su mayoria los niños llegaron a tiempo.

Entre un ambiente de timidez y espectativa los niños y el equipo del campamento comieza la dinámica del cardumen, permitiendo romper el hielo a través de movimientos corporales.

Seguido de esta actividad cada niño pasó al frente del grupo el cual fungió como público.  Aprendieron a respirar y plantarse en el escenario mirando a los ojos al público y controlando sus emociones sin tener pena.

El juego de las sillas potenció su confianza y permitió la compenetración del grupo.  Regresando del receso, la meditación y tiempo para dibujo estimuló su creatividad y equilibró sus energias.  Seguido de una lluvia de ideas relacionadas con el significado de Yaxunah y lo que para ellos es identidad, direccionando estas palabras para el titulo del campamento.  Cerramos el circulo y aprendimos la importancia de utilizar la compassion, coraje y creatividad, para resolver conflictos.

Day 1

The Camp in Yaxunah starts its recreational activities at 9am. The majority of kids arrived on time.

The environment was kind of shy and filled with expectation, the kids as well as the team started the cardumen activity (school of fish activity), using corporality as an ice breaker.

After, each participant took a stand in front of the group, having to look at each one of them.  This exercise is to teach them to stand on a stage, breath and look at everyone in the eye, controlling their emotions without being shy.

The chair game created trust and the group became closer.  After recess, meditation followed and then they had time to draw.  Drawing stimulated their creativity balancing their energy.   After there was brainstorming for the name of the camp, we asked them what Yaxunah means and what is identity for them? We closed the circle and we learned about the importance of using compassion, courage and creativity to solve conflict.
