El día de hoy era el día libre, sin embargo los chavos se acercaron al CCC y con ánimos de divertirse, realizaron distintas actividades.

Unos, los más pequeños, se quedaron con Abraham construyendo los títeres con materiales orgánicos, los que cada vez están más cerca de ser estrenados. Comenzaron con los Aluxes, utilizando cocos para hacer las cabezas, vainas de tabachin forman sus orejas y con ramas el resto de su cuerpo. Los niñ@s cada vez muestran más entusiasmo con esta actividad animándose a agarrar herramientas de todo tipo.

Otros se fueron con Edel y Sebas al cenote Lol Ha (flor de agua), un lugar mágico en el centro de la comunidad. Allí practicaron con las cámaras tanto de foto como de video y realizaron un pequeño cortometraje en el que la moraleja es “si no te animas a tirarte nunca aprenderás a nadar”. Para sorpresa nuestra los niños no se atrevían a entrar al agua, no saben nadar, con lo que la filmación terminó con una clase de natación. Finalmente todos se animaron a entrar y se filmaron jugando bajo el agua con una cámara subacuatica. Luego regresamos al CCC y observamos entre risas lo filmado compartiéndoselo a los que no pudieron ingresar al cenote.

Por la noche el grupo volvió a reunirse para ver algunos cortometrajes de animación y el video de Ok Che de Yaxunah en su presentación en Mérida, la cuál despertó muchas risas en ellos al verse en una pantalla grande. Con esto se busca alentarlos, fortalecer su confianza y que se vean actuar para corregir sus errores.

Today the kids had a day off, however, they came to the CCC wanting to have fun, they participated in different activities.

The youngest ones stayed with Abraham building puppets with organic materials, we are getting closer and closer to using them. They started with the Aluxes, using coconuts for their heads, sheath from the flamboyant tree for the ears and branches for the rest of the body. Everyday kids show more and more enthusiasm with this activity, they are more into using all types of tools. 

Other kids went with Edel and Sebas to the Lol-Ha (water flower) Cenote, a magical place in the middle of the community.  There they practiced with the cameras, photo and video. They made a small short film in which the message was, " if you don't throw yourself in the water, you'll never learn to swim."  To our surprise the kids did not dare to jump into the water, they don't know how to swim, therefore, the film shooting ended up being a swimming class. Finally they all jumped in the water and filmed themselves playing under water with a water proof camera.  After we came back to the CCC where we watched what we shot, sharing with the ones that were not able to go into the Cenote.

At night a group of kids came to watch some short animated films and the Ok-Che de Yaxunah (The stilts group) video of their show in Merida, to see themselves in the video made them laugh.      With this we seek to encourage, strengthen their confidence, and also to see themselves acting to correct their mistakes.
